With over a decade of experience in educational consulting and student development, Alycia has made Ascension Educational Services a trusted resource for families navigating the complexities of the academic world—from test preparation to admissions. Her philosophy centers around a holistic approach to education, where each student’s unique strengths and challenges are recognized and nurtured.

Alycia began her career in education with Teach for America, where she worked in under-resourced schools and saw firsthand the challenges students and educators face in underserved communities. This experience deeply informed her approach to education and sparked her commitment to educational equity, which continues to be a guiding force in her work at Ascension.

In addition to her time with Teach for America, Alycia worked with Educators for Excellence, a teacher-led organization advocating for policies that create more equitable, trauma-informed school environments. Through her work with E4E, Alycia contributed to initiatives to equip educators with the tools to support students facing trauma and other challenges that impact learning. Her advocacy efforts have helped shape important policies that prioritize the well-being and success of all students.
